TRADE AND INVESTMENT PROMOTION AGENCY RANKED AMONG TOP 25 WORLD AGENCIES

Trade and Investment Promotion Agency according to the newest World Bank research is for the first time ranked among top 25 Investment Promotion Agencies in the competition of 181 countries.

FIAS Global Investment Promotion Benchmark (GIPB) index measures efficiency of national agencies under the criteria of informativeness, web page appearance and contents, as well as the productivity of managing foreign investors? inquiries. Assessment was made by independent foreign experts in period between May and September 2008, without prior notice of the research.

It is important to notice that APIU has found itself along with very developed countries like Austria, which is at the same time ranked first, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Great Britain etc. As for the transition countries, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary and Czech Republic are along with Croatia ranked among top 25.

VENTUREXCHANGE SOUTH EAST EUROPE 2010 COMPETITION

Croatian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APIU) invites all entrepreneurs to participate in the VentureXchange South East Europe 2010 Competition (organized by Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, CVCA) for the selection of the most exciting venture capital investment opportunities in the region. The selected finalists will be presented to a very large network (500+) of international and regional investors through (i) VentureXchange event day (hotel Westin, Zagreb, 24 February 2010); (ii) special publication; (iii) CDrom; (iv) new website www.venturexchange-see.com; (v) direct mailing and other channels.

The competition documentation set is available for download on CVCA webpage (www.cvca.hr). The proposals should be submitted completing the competition documentation in English or in one of the official SEE languages to the Public Notary Ankica Hukelj, Mrazoviceva 6/1, HR-10000 Zagreb. The final date for submission is delivery by 17 hours on Wednesday, 10 Februray 2009.
